Not fixed yet as of june 2017. Chart.js itself is very limited but it features some handy documentation on stackoverflow and on the examples pages on the homepage. Mermaid is a very clever way to use markdown syntax to create useful graph diagrams.

All you need to do is specify the mermaid language for your codeblock, and doctave will render the diagram for you. More than 3 years have passed since last update. This is neat for a few different reasons: Mermaid.js is a tool that lets you define diagrams in code with a plaintext format that is then rendered to svg.
